A study for Deaf parents of autistic children ages 3–6
Researchers are studying how Deaf parents support their young autistic child's attention during everyday play at home. The study is fully remote — everything happens from your own home, on your own schedule. You will fill out some online questionnaires, receive a free package of toys and supplies in the mail, record one short play session with your child, and then upload the video through a secure website. There are no clinic visits required, and you get to keep all the materials sent to you.
What to expect
Complete online questionnaires from home (about 30–60 minutes)
Receive a free package of toys, a book, a beanbag toss game, and a tripod by mail — yours to keep
Record one 15–30 minute natural play session with your child at home
Upload your video securely through an online portal

You may be a fit if
You are a Deaf parent or legal guardian of a child ages 3–6 with a confirmed ASD diagnosis
Your family is either a Deaf parent with a deaf autistic child, or a Deaf parent with a hearing autistic child
Your child does not have severe intellectual disability, a genetic syndrome, or significant motor or vision impairment
Your family has access to a smartphone or recording device with an internet connection
