A prosthetic walking-training study for adults with a lower-limb amputation (PROSPER)

A UNLV study testing a prosthetic walking-training program to improve rehabilitation for people living with limb loss.

What to expect

Eligibility screening

Pre-training mobility assessment and questionnaires

12 training sessions (safety harness worn, staff present)

Post-training assessment

One week of activity-monitor wear before and after

You may be a fit if

Age 18 or older

✓

Lower-limb amputation at the ankle or above (one or both sides)

✓

Use a prosthesis regularly for walking

✓

Can walk at least 3 minutes with or without an assistive device

✓

Able to travel to the UNLV Las Vegas campus
